Academic Staff – Teaching Positions
A: Introduction
Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo), which is owned by the Eastern and Coastal Diocese (ECD) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT), is one of the constituent colleges of Tumaini University Makumira (TUMA). The institution was granted a Certificate of Full Registration by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) on March 29th, 2007 and obtained its Charter and Certificate of Accreditation in 2010 and August 2019. TUDARCo is located along Coca Cola Road, at Mwenge Industrial Area in Dar es Salaam. At present, TUDARCo is being re-engineered and re-branded with a view to transforming it into a competitively dynamic and vibrant university institution. To that effect, TUDARCo is seeking to strengthen human resources in teaching, research and consultancy, hence this advisement.
B: Positions being advertised
TUDARCo now wishes to recruit additional academic staff for the School of Business Studies (SoBS) as follows:
Assistant Lecturer in Accountancy: Three (3) Positions
Specific Qualifications:
Holders of a Master’s Degree in Accounting or Master’s Degree in Accounting with Computing or its equivalent and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) majoring in Accountancy; Bachelor of Accounting with Information Technology; Bachelor of Accounting with Computing from a University recognized by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and with teaching experience as an Assistant Lecturer. In addition to the above qualifications, the candidate must show exceptional teaching, research, and consultancy abilities. Possession of a CPA will be an added advantage.
General Qualifications:
Aside from the specific qualifications, applicants must possess a minimum GPA of 4.0 or a B+ average at Master’s degree level, and at least a GPA of 3.5 for a first degree in BBA (Accounting) or B.Com (Accounting), Bachelor of Accounting with Information Technology, Bachelor of Accounting with Computing, or their equivalents obtained from a higher learning institution recognized by TCU. Applicants must further have the ability to engage in teaching, research, and consultancy services.
C: Remuneration
Successful candidates will be offered attractive packages commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
D: Mode of Application

Certificates from foreign Universities must have been verified by the TCU.
Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education must have been verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
Presentation of forged certificates and forged document(s) will necessitate a legal action against the applicant.
