Airtel Tanzania PLC wishes to recruit for an Enterprise Operations Manager. The role reports to Network Director. He/She, will be responsible to Provide Operations & Maintenance leadership through Controlling, Managing and Supporting day to day network operations to ensure +1 class customer experience through as high as possible network availability, operational excellence as well as efficiency in network operation processes and cost.
The Role Holder duties will include but not limited to:
1.Day to day management of Enterprise Network Operations & Maintenance, project delivery & Governance of Strategic Partners (SPs) to deliver optimal availability and plus1 Customer experience
- Ensure implementation of processes to meet service delivery and operations KPIs
- End-to end control and operational management of the entire enterprise customer base last mile connections and Airtel provided CPE
- Service Provider Service Level Agreement management towards effectiveness and efficiency of delivering network availability.
- Periodic audit of Preventive Maintenance
- Incidence management recommendation follow up
- Support the Operational Interface to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Review of proposed and existing technology and architecture for operational resilience and cost efficiency and recommend changes or improvements to reinforce this.
2.Drive the end-to-end process documentation, implementation and compliance to processes, procedures, and policies to ensure seamless delivery & operations
- Create and Ensure adherence to Operational Governance Process Model.
- Define service level agreements for internal processes and partners, monitor achievement of defined objectives.
- Ensure compliance to applicable policies, procedures and monitor availability of all relevant documentation, across relevant touch points to ensure synergy across all functions
- Institute service level agreement measurement methodology to ensure all SPs are accurately measured, rewarded/penalized accordingly.
3. Build a capable and motivated team to create a high-performance environment
- Recruit the right talent in consultation with function head, as per defined recruitment guidelines
- Develop and motivate team members through structured training and on the job coaching
- Establish performance expectations and regularly review individual performance
Academic and Qualifications and Experience;
- Bachelor of Electrical /Electronic Engineering or Telecoms Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Engineering an added advantage
- Professional qualifications in networking CCNA, CCNP and project management (PMP/ Prince II)
- 5 -7 years working experience in Telecoms with at least 3 years in network operation management role
- Sound knowledge of Mobile Network O&M
- Solid knowledge of transmission and IP network infrastructure
